Lisbon bookstores you’ll fall in love with
The two of us are pretty big book worms, so when we both moved to Lisbon, finding a good supply was top of the list. Yes there's Amazon and Kindle, but nothing beats a good, old fashioned book store, with real books. Thankfully, there are a few options around town, so if English language books are what you’re after, we’ve got you covered.
Fable
A gem of a bookstore, this place brings together the best of two worlds - good coffee (link) and decent books. Grab a coffee up front and then venture down the stairs to browse the books. The range is curated (ok, yes I mean small), but there’s a decent range of genres on offer, including fiction and biographies to spirituality, self help, business and LGBTQIA.

Livraria da Travessa
If you’re in the area, Livraria da Travessa is worth a visit. The front of the store is home to Portuguese language literature, but head through to the back and you’ll stumble upon a room of books in English, as well as French and Spanish (check). A larger range than some of the others on the list, but with a focus on fiction above all else. You’ll find recent releases and some of the classics.

Top tip: Take a tall friend with you, some of the books are out of arm's reach for those on the shorter side!
