I’m Kate, an Aussie who wished for both those things when I moved to this wonderful but often perplexing city.
I couldn’t find a singular, free resource, nor did I know anyone already established in Lisbon to help me understand the rental market. Or public transport. Or recommend a doctor or hair salon.
It would have been nice to have someone to help me navigate the inevitable trickiness of a new city, in a different country.
3 years later, I thought, maybe I should be that bestie for others!

Real recs, nothing paid for, no tiktok trends.
It’s important to not loose sight of the real Lisbon. Social media hotspots are fine, but small, local business is where the gems are. None of my recommendtions are paid for or sponsored. (Which gets expensive for me!)
